Types of Dreams

Dream Types

This is from a class I gave in Philadelphia in the late 90's.

Dreams come in many formats. A dream with important or profound data will repeat without mercy until it's message is realized. A series of dreams from a single night may relate the specific high points of an individual's processive experiences throughout an important change or advancement. Some dreams consist of view and review, a witnessing of events as in watching a film, and then a review by seen or unseen guides. Some dreams relate real events in the perceiver's own future. Others may reveal secrets which resolve unanswered questions in technology and science. Dreams can also play out all of several future possibilities, revealing what will follow the choosing of specific options.

Persistent Dream: This dream happens again and again during each of several nights. Usually, the period is close to one week. Some persistent dreams may occur throughout an entire lifetime until their goals are achieved. The hidden message may be:
exact: What is seen is exactly what is meant.
themed: the sequence of events, in it's abstract form relates the message.

Resetting Dream: The same dream plays over and over again. A critical point occurs, and the dreamer makes a decision which changes each time until the desired result is achieved, until a lesson is learned. This type of dream has a heavy influence on intuition.
There is a case in psychology which exemplifies this effect. A doctor greets a man who has no long term memory. When the patient extends his hand for a greeting, the doctor surreptitiously pricks his palm with a needle. He does this on two separate visits. On the third visit, the doctor extends his hand in greeting, but the patient refuses. When asked why, the patient acknowledges that he does no know the man (he has no long term memory) but insists that he is afraid, does not trust the doctor and will not shake his hand.
The Resetting Dream has the same effect. When a person is not recalling his dreams, he will still feel the effects of this dream plane learning. It will be an abstract, or "gut" feeling of distrust, dislike, trust, love, lust, or whatever the case may be.

Note: For an example of a resetting dream: Resetting Dream

Chain Dream: A series of dreams consecutively occur in one night. Each is complete in itself, covering a specific event. The dreams in the chain relate the high points, or crucial moments, in a greater development. These are shown in the reverse order in which they will happen. That is, the last dream in the series will happen first. Often, when these critical junctures actually occur, there will be a strong sense of deja vu.

Cluster Dream: Most often, a group of dreams occur together in one night. They usually number five. Four dreams relate mundane activity, which come to pass quickly, usually within two days. The fifth, the middle dream, relates a highly important event in the dreamer's life. This provides great confidence to the individual either to pursue what the Cluster Dream entails, or to undertake actions to counter the fifth event. The cluster effect also applies to groups of dreams occurring during several nights or weeks. All minor dreams occur before the major event (they are guideposts). The remaining event's eventuality remains for last and is now undeniable.

Precognitive Dream: A dream which comes to pass. All the parts which fail to be included in the actual event are clues to the dreamer's own distortion of reality. About 60% of precognitive dreams happen on the same day (+2 days) in another year.

View and Review: In this type of dream, a scene, or symbols, or both, are shown. Interpretations or commentary are provided either simultaneously or following. These are usually the most profound dreams, providing the most concrete evidence and the most interesting knowledge. This format is common to false dreams and should be reviewed with caution and prayer. For example, many who believe in "past life recall", have this format of dream.
Typically, the issue of the false life recalled parallels a current issue in the life of the dreamer, and includes a solution to the issue. Or, the dream focuses on the true underlying personality flaw affecting the situation. The demonic originators of such dreams exchange helping the dreamer in order to lead the dreamer into a false belief- that it is given to a man to live and die more than once.

Informative: This dream is most often a view and review dream.
Examples:
1.) A picture of a dandelion, slowly rotating. Commentary, "The cure for AIDS will be found in the dandelion."
2.) Singer, the inventor of the sewing machine could not devise a way to adapt a needle to a machine. He dreamt that he was being chased by spear wielding natives. Each of the spears had a hole just before the point.
3.) A scientist was trying to map benzene. He could no derive a diagram because he continued to be off by one hydrogen in each case. he dreamed of a snake biting it's own tail. He woke, realizing that benzene is a ring.

Crashing a Car, Failing at Work, Falling in Dreams

Here is a question mailed to my YouTube account:

I have a question since you seem to know a lot about dreams. I dream a lot about screwing up at my job, crashing my car while driving, and falling dreams. What do these symbolize to me?

Meaning of Falling Dreams:

There are two very common interpretations here:

1. When the spirit returns to the body each night, there is a sense of movement which is, apparently, closer to the sensation of falling more than any other sensation. For this reason, the mind converts the sensation of returning to the body into something it knows: falling from a higher position to a lower position.

Note also that when Lucifer was cast from the heavenly places to the earth, the Bible describes it in the book of Luke, Chapter 10, verse 18: "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." So, the action of transferring from the heavenly places to the earth is described as falling.

2. If you see yourself fall, and then the dream scene continues, it can represent a setback in life. This can relate to any area of life: morality, finances, and even health.

If you always wake up at the end of the fall, the first definition, above, applies. If you see events unfolding after the fall, i.e., you remain in a state of dreaming, then the fall symbolically represents some life setback, loss, or reduction.

A fall does not usually represent death. Death is usually represented by a long journey, or a sudden, ninety-degree turn, which takes the walker off the path.

CRASHING YOUR CAR

First, it is important to understand the interpretation of an automobile. Above, I explained that the spirit leaves the body and returns at night. The process of returning is perceived as falling. Now, in the world, the spirit (and soul) travel around in a body. The spirit’s mode of transportation is a corporeal, two-armed, two-legged body. So, when the mind converts spiritual data into a visual image for the mind, it substitutes the image of an auto.
The car represents your body. Sometimes, a dream is sent to you. It is authored and written, choreographed and directed by a spiritual source. That source may use the car symbol to convey the meaning of a physical “vehicle” which transports a spirit, your spirit.
I believe that both the above methods produce the car-as-body symbol. Now, what is crashing a car in a dream?

Crashing your personal automobile in a dream also has two popular meanings:

1. Injuring yourself spiritually: If the car represents your body, it represents your person. The person comprises three parts: spirit, soul, and body. When you injure one of these, the idea transfers into a dream as a scene of damage to the car- usually by an automobile accident. The crash scene strongly conveys the idea of damage.

In 1999, while continuing to straddle the fence between a full commitment to God and exploring everything spiritual, I enrolled in and completed a course in Reiki. After the first session, the teachers warned about a strange phenomenon: For some reason, people taking Reiki Level One classes would get into vehicular accidents during the first week.

I received the warning very strongly, and walked everywhere. I did not even ride my bike- my primary transportation at the time. However, all the other students crashed their cars and somehow dented them. One girl rode a motorcycle. She somehow crashed into the back of a pick up truck stopped at a sign. She was the only one not driving her vehicle. It was being repaired.

Reiki, though presented as “Christian”, is actually developed by a monk, as they teach when they offer the course. However, the monk is female- which teachers are told to not mention. As well, they do not tell that the monk is a Buddhist monk.

So, Reiki is actually a demonic practice. The Buddha is considered an apostle of satan. Involving oneself in such activities as Reiki, Ouija boards, séances and psychic readings exposes one to demonic forces. (see www.massdeliverance.com for further instruction on the yielding of rights to demons.) This damages the soul. This damage can and does manifest into your daily life as damage to your automobile. Sounds bizarre, but it is true. For more information about the dangers of participation in demonic activities (whether you knew it or not when you participated), read this article: Tarot Cards, Psychic Readings, and Palm Reading Bring Curses to Participants

2. Major conflict coming to a head: A student of Jung, Barbara Hannah, described an event involving one of her analysands. This woman analysis client analysis argued without decrease with a co-worker. The client’s car was nearly rear-ended at an intersection (real-life, not in a dream). Later, she was actually rear ended, causing light damage. The psychologist warned her client that something worse would happen if she failed to address the conflict. The conflict had risen to a spiritual level and now manifested into other physical areas.

In a third event, the woman was hit from behind while stopped at a busy intersection. The collision pushed her car out into the intersection where her car was nearly struck by a cargo truck.

In as much as a dream can be a warning, a dream of a car crash can warn of a conflict coming to a violent collision. The actual manifestation might be a loud argument, being fired or reduced in responsibility. It could break a relationship.

MAKING MISTAKES AT THE JOB:

Scenes of the workplace can represent exactly what they appear to be: the workplace. This can also symbolize life. In life, we have tasks to perform, times to arrive or depart, deadlines (many assumed), and people with whom we perform all these tasks. So, “working” can represent “living”.

However, in this case, the most likely interpretation of the dream is that you are having conflict in the workplace. And, if not corrected, that conflict is going to cause a big event at your work. The result will be a collision of personalities, interests or ideas.

Conclusion:

When a car crash, or other crash is dreamed, the reaction must always include an analysis of all turmoil and conflict in the life of the one who dreamed it. Is your position and behavior worth maintaining to the point of damage?

Dream Visions of Hell

First vision:

Location: 29 Palms Marine Corps base, desert of Southern California
(Note that just south of the base is a town which is abandoned by day, but all the lights come on at night. Rumors say that the town is full of witches.)

The dream:

I am laying horizontal, but on nothing. All around is complete darkness. surrounding me are the heads of dogs. The heads are different sizes. The largest I remember very well- a Pomeranian, complete with blue tongue. Each of these heads would leap forward and bite my flesh. They would tear off meat.

While not biting, the other heads would occasionally slap their teeth together making a loud gnashing sound as their teeth slammed shut together.

I could feel all the pain. I could yell. I could barely move. With a great effort, I lifted my head to see my body. I saw the huge hole in my right side where the giant Pomeranian head would repeatedly bite. As I watched, the flesh regrew following each rending of the flesh.

It was horrible. The effect on my head was a reeling state of confusion. I could not comprehend what was transpiring. Amazed to a state of stupor, I could only think to look at what was happening.

Then I woke.

It is important to note that at the time I was catholic. I did not live holy. The only commitment to Jesus I had made was at a youth Bible camp. I had not clear idea of the meaning. I had a girlfriend and there was no clear difference between me and the world.

Second Vision:

The second vision was a false dream. It felt wrong. And, when I prayed about it, the Lord told me it was deception. Additionally, he told me to never mention any of the details. I include this because I have seen reports from others (primarily in Islam) which repeat some of the lies I saw/heard in that dream.

And, I want to note that satan is working to disseminate false information in this area.
