Pray for Desired Information Before Sleeping

If you want to receive information in a dream, ask. To receive the information you need or desire, ask in prayer. If it does not arrive in one night, persevere in asking until you receive your requested dream.

Dream received morning of August 22, 2010

4:30 am (alarm)

Before sleeping, I prayed for some message relevant to listeners of Watchman Radio.

Dream:

A woman sleeps on a large bed. She is very, very wealthy. Suddenly, the ground shakes. She wakes and gets out of bed. She has healthy hair, very dark. Her skin is white, the color of a healthy baby. But, her girth forms large rolls of fat around her. She is incredibly large and fat.

She is very distraught. She has just lost all her money. She pushes the pudgy fingers of her corpulent hands through her hair. She looks around and paces briefly. Then, she remembers she once had a very large precious stone, a clear diamond.

She looks everywhere for it. All through her house, she looks. She does not find it. She remembers her bed and thinks, “Maybe I lost it while I was sleeping.” She looks through the sheets and blankets. Nothing is found. She considers it may have fallen to the floor and gets on her hands and knees to look for it.

A voice says, “It is inside of her.”

End of Scene

Interpretation:

The precious diamond is God inside her. The woman represents people who need God.

What is a Transition Element?

When a dream transits from one scene to the next, a transition element is used.

Following the completion of one scene, the focus of the dreamer "zooms in" or otherwise begins to increase focus one one item in the dream. This increases until complete focus is on that item. For example, the grass on the ground can be a transition element. The color orange can be another.

When all you can see is the transition element, focus "zooms out", or pans back out so that the scene comes into normal view. However, the scene is changed!

EXAMPLE
For example, in 1998, I had a dream which included seven scenes and six transition elements. The dream showed events in my life and concluded in an event in California. The 4th event was the "Orange Revolution" in Kiev, Ukraine. I visited Kiev in April, May and June of 2004, shortly before the large protests against election fraud by the Communists in Ukraine. At the end of that dream, I looked at a man wearing an Orange wind breaker. My focus zoomed in to see only orange. Then, it zoomed back out. The orange was an orange sail on a small boat riding near the beach. As the scene continued to expand, I saw I myself stood on a bluff overlooking the waters, and I was in California.

After returning from Kiev to Georgia, I moved to California. I had not planned that. But, the dream showed me what would happen.

The last scene of the dream was of me walking from the middle of California toward the coast. I held some books. Water was rushing out to sea. It was ankle deep. By the time I reached a class room and sat at a desk, the water had run off completely.

I believe the scenes were showing me what would happen. In the late 90's, I had become very concerned over apocalyptic dreams I had seen. This dream showed me several years of fairly normal events. Other scenes were the place I worked in Georgia and a jiu jitsu training room in California where I trained a few weeks.

Bullet Points:

* A transition element is not likely to contain hints to the theme of the dream. It will not yield hints to understanding.
* Recognizing the transition element will help you to recall more dreams from each night. Recall the dream you were in at waking. Focus on the that dream, playing it in reverse, all the way to the end. Relax. Look for the transition element, or focus element. Just watch it. Don't think. It will meld into the previous dream. With practice, you can transit backward to many more dreams.

Sleeping Habits Impact Your Dream Recall

Learn to sleep.

Sleeping, like lifestyle and diet affects your overall health. It impacts your physical mental health. The following tips, gleaned from health magazines, Runner's World, and psychology journals, have benefited me:

1. Establish a regular sleep habit. Your body will know exactly how much time it has, and will begin preparing to sleep as your regularly scheduled bed time approaches. Keep this schedule even on holidays and weekends as much as life allows.

2. Between bed time and waking, move the bed time when life gives you fewer hours to sleep. For example, a major project is due the following day. You have 10 hours of work and 4 and a half hours of sleep ahead of you. Your regular wake time is 6:30 am. So, work until 2, then hit the sack.

3. Buy a good pillow. Sleep impacts your overall health. You invest hundreds of dollars in workout clothes as an investment in your health. Get a good pillow.

4. Sleep in intervals of 90 minutes. The sleep cycle- the time it takes for your brain to move into deep sleep and then return, averages out to about 90 minutes for most people. Mine is 87 minutes. Waking up at the top of the sleep cycle, when the brain is most nearly to the state it enjoys during normal waking hours, is easy. You will wake feeling clean and crisp.

Contrarily, waking at the bottom of a sleep cycle feels like being fired from a cannon out of a wonderful dream.

Dreams Can be Messages for Others:

Sometimes, a dreamer receives a dream message for someone else. Last night, I saw a Christian, new to evangelism (new somehow), who had a dream. The person did not know the interpretation. I was shown the dream, and given the interpretation. I remember both dream and interpretation of the second part, but only the meaning of the first part:

Second scene: an unseen person dips a plastic wand, hoop at the top, into a bottle of "Miracle Bubble". The wand is withdrawn and the person blows into the soap and water mix. Bubbles form and lift up into the air.

Interpretation: "Like this, the message of Salvation, the message of the Kingdom of God, goes out into the world. You are not sure where it will land (who it will hit)... But, others will also send out bubbles. In this way, the Kingdom will cover the world.

First Scene:

I could not recall the scene, but I heard the interpretation, which is:

"Make soup, that the people will be fed."
